The dissertation explorers the psychology of taking strategic life decisions by students in three directions: the definition of life position of the individual, professional self-determination and the choice of marriage partner. Revealed the psychological meaning and direction of strategic life decisions, the stages, criteria and psychological mechanisms of taking strategic life decisions by individual are grounded. Created a psychological model of taking strategic life decisions by students on the basis of the Acme-humanistic approach, that allowed to empirically explore the development of personal students' readiness to make strategic life decisions on four components: value-motivational, emotional-cognitive, goals-setting and operational.
