There grounded the structural-typological concept of preparedness according to which the development of psychological readiness to the career activity is uneven: in the result of the heterogeneous and heterochronous development of the constituents of psychophysiological, psychosocial and value-semantic readiness, some of their components can perform the compensatory function which affects the specific character of revealing readiness as an integral formation and is the basis for defining the type of prospective specialists' psychological preparedness. It is established that simultaneous activation of exopsychic and endopsychic mechanisms contribute much to forming readiness to the professional activities of a practicing psychologist.
