The study revealed the psychological peculiarities of ethical consciousness at some stages of ontogenesis: the older preschool, elementary school, adolescence, young adulthood, and at the stage of early maturity. In accordance with the criteria - a) the development of moral judgment, b) attitude to authority, c) development of reflection, d) independence/dependence in the realization of the need for sell-actualization - the author identifies three types of ethical consciousness unspecified, normative one and the type of stabilized values. The components of the developing of ethical consciousness: are identified which result in: 1) awareness of social norms, 2) the experience of the conflict between internalized notions of social normatively and the degree of self-actualization, 3) reflection of social, including moral, norms, 4) personal reflection, 5) choice, as a role model, one of significant images of the ideal self, and 6) action on the basis of moral standards, 7) awareness of social approval/non-approval of the action.
