Essay

The presented work is devoted to the solution of scientific problems relevant hygienic assessment of the impact of exogenous nitric oxide precursors to public health and practical solutions to environmental and hygienic safety when exposed to low doses of nitrites and nitrates. Was assessed levels of nitrate and nitrite stress on the organism of the South Ukraine residents with varying degrees of occupational exposure to compounds of nitric and nitrous acids (stage I) and estimated characteristics of exogenous nitrate and nitrite in the body of deficit and excess endogenous synthesis of NO (stage II - laboratory and experimental). As a result, a number of new scientific data on the role of nitric oxide precursors and different mechanisms of its formation in modern environmental and socio-economic conditions was described. It is shown that in a breach of endogenous nitric oxide synthesis increases the frequency and paratoxic and metatoxic effects of low doses of nitrates. The research allowed to formulate the concept of disregulator disease when exposed to environmental factors of low intensity and develop an algorithm for assessing and managing risks of desadaptational disorders when exposed to exogenous nitrate and nitrite.
