The thesis provides a comparative analysis of Ukrainian multipartyness in Naddniprianska and Western Ukraine in 1899-1918. On the basis of methodological approaches of political science the concept of "Ukrainian multipartyness" has been clarified in regard to actors that belong to it, its configuration and transformation in different Ukrainian regions. The author gives special attention to the internal and external impacts on party genesis, Ukrainian multipartyness functioning and evolution, taking its regional specificity into consideration. Mechanisms of parties interrelations which influenced on consolidation inside Ukrainian multipartyness and effectiveness of party activity are revealed: in Naddniprianska Ukraine there are "horizontal" interrelations between parties (primary with non-national parties) that have common social and political grounds, in Austro-Hungary there are " vertical" ones based on priority of the "Ukrainian national interest" between parties which although articulated different outlook principles. It is proved that in the early 20th century Ukrainian multipartyness in Western Ukraine by its parameters was a "party system" including two-party system in Galychyna and multy-party system with a dominant party in Bukovyna. The main stages of Ukrainian multipartyness development in Naddniprianska and Western Ukraine during 1899-1919th are defined with regard to qualitative characters of this process and the level of interrelations between Ukrainian parties.
