Yaremchuk S. Diagnostic and treatment of rhinitis with the dysfunction of homeostasis of sex hormones in women

The dissertation is devoted to the issue of improving the efficiency of diagnostics of the complex treatment and preventive maintenance of rhinitis in women who have the dysfunction of homeostasis of sex hormones. Researched data: the retrospective analysis of 1000 outpatients' cards of those who suffer from allergic rhinitis; the interrogation of 500 women, suffering from allergic rhinitis. The examination and treatment of 280 patients, suffering from allergic rhinitis and pregnancy rhinitis was conducted, as well as the experimental investigation on 35 rats. According to the results of the investigation it was found that women are not only more likely to suffer from allergy rhinitis, but also have a more complex course of the disease that results in a greater number of complaints, the severity of symptoms and the amount of allergens that have caused the disease. In the course of the work the correlation between the level of the dysfunction of homeostasis of sex hormones and the severity of allergic rhinitis and pregnancy rhinitis was established. Moreover, it was found that women suffering from allergic rhinitis in 82,6% of cases experience the dysfunction of homeostasis of sex hormones towards the relative estrogen dominance. The relative lack of progesterone, along with hyperestrogenism, was found in women with pregnancy rhinitis. By immunohistochemical techniques in surgery biopsies, the distribution and localization of beta-estrogen receptors in the nasal mucosa of a person was determined. Within the experiment the influence of the preparations with antiestrogen properties on the course of allergic rhinitis was researched. Based on the results, the system of diagnosis and treatment of women who suffer from rhinosinuitis was developed, taking into account the dysfunction of homeostasis of sex hormones. It is shown that the efficiency of the complex therapy of allergic rhinitis and pregnancy rhinitis increases dramatically with the use of the preparations that normalize the dysfunction of homeostasis of sex hormones.
