Objekt: sermons of Archbishop Lazar Baranovych printed in tow editions - "Sword" {1666} and "Pipe" {1674}. Aim: to outline the features of Ukrainian Baroque preaching discourse setting "author-text-reader/listener". Methods: rhetorical, semiotical, topical, receptive aesthetics. Scientific novelty: at first in the literary science sermons of Lazar Baranovych are studied as a message text containing the virtual image of the author and the reader (the sender and the recipient}. Approved in 29 publications. The sphere of use: literature and high sckool practice.
