Essay

Dissertation discusses the problem of modernization of the existing system of elementary music education. The modern status of elementary music education, the music education level of the young pupils has been clarified; the criteria of their music education level assessment have been established. A set of organizational and methodological approaches to the modernization of the elementary music education have been suggested. The stages of young pupils' music learning have been defined. The results of the experimental work have validated their efficiency and desirability for the use in general education schools.
