The thesis defines the essence and structure of the notion of "musical pedagogical competence" in respect of the profession of a preschool teacher and a music instructor, as well as the content of constituent competencies; requirements to musical pedagogical competence of a preschool teacher and a music instructor have been substantiate din the light of the needs of musical education and development of a modern preschooler; also substantiate dis the pedagogical concept of the formation of musical pedagogical competence in university environment; criteria, indicators and levels of professional competence of teachers and music in structors corresponding to bachelor's degree have been developed; mainstages of the formation of the competence have been identified: problem-cognitive, analytical and evaluative, project-creative; depicted are the specifics of training interaction between the teacher and student sintheprocess of forming musical pedagogical competence of prospective teachers and music instructors of preschool education institutions; role of each of the interaction parties in activities has been established; clusters of methods of the formation of musical pedagogical competence of prospective educators at each stage of the process have been proposed, namely: informational and presentational, algorithmic and searching, as well as creative and searching methods; research and experimental verification of the efficiency of the implemented organizing and methodology system of work aimedatthe formation of musical pedagogical competence of teachers and music instructors of preschool education institutions based on an experimental model has been undertaken.
