Kishchak O. Scientific fundamentals of the sweet cherry industrial cultivation in the Lisosteppe of Ukraine

The author has substantiated the scientific approaches to the creation and productive use of new sweet cherry intense orchards. On the basis of the complex researches results the most efficient methods of growing adapted low rootstocks, cultivar-rootstock combinations, of trees formation and pruning and new high-productive intense orchards which ensure the products competitity in the conditions of the climatical changes were elaborated taking into consideration the situation on the internal and external fruit market as well as the natural and economic potential of the Ukraine's Lisosteppe. The rootstocks were grouped according to their vigour and their guantitative optimum and correlation were substantiated for new orchards. The main results of the work found practical application in the creation and usage of sweet cherry rootstocks parental gardens established by the horizontal method as well as of nurseries and intense orchards.
