The significance of art in personal and professional development was substantiated. Historical sources of use of art in personal development and modern methodological approaches to its use in professional training were analyzed. The criteria, indicators and levels of personal and professional readiness of the future professionals majoring in engineering were defined. Pedagogical terms of their professional training on the basis of use of art means were revealed.
