The thesis is devoted to the phenomenon of the authority of management in public authorities of Ukraine in the context of the archetypal approach. The paper analyzes the theoretical and methodological principles of archetypes in the research of the phenomenon of authority. According to the changes in psychosocial nature of modern society and human expediency of application of archetypal methodology is proved. The conceptual foundations of authority are defined as a backbone factor of the power, in particular the concept of "authority" is analyzed in etymological, semantic and interdisciplinary discourses.
