Dissertation deals with theoretical and methodological principals of process-genetic approach with regards to the study of ontogenez and geography of soils at the regional level. Methods of geographical and genetic investigation of ontogenez and geography of rendzinas have been improved through the introduction of modelling techniques, soil chronological rows, balance of substances and energy capacity evaluation of soil formation. Peculiarities of rendzinas ontogenez in natural and natural-anthropogenic landscapes of Western Ukraine have been established.
