Cheshko F. The development of theoretical-technological foundations of production of electrode pitch from coal tars of different pyrolysis stage

The dissertation concerns development of scientific and practical principles which will make it possible to ensure production of the electrode binders and impregnating pitches meeting the various customers' requests under the conditions of instability of the coal tar quality (degree of pyrolysis) existing in Ukraine. The processes which form the quality characteristics of the electrode pitches at every technological step of their generating and processing are studied. The features are discovered of the thermochemical transformations of components of the coal tar of low-pyrolysis which promote the accumulation of the high-molecular constituentsof the commercial electrode pitch. The technology is developed for the quality modification of the commercial electrode pitch obtained from tar of low-pyrolysis by removing its low-molecular components, those last being the light pitch distillations. This technology is introduced at the PJSC "AVDIIVKA COKE". The actual economic effect of the introduction is more then 900 thou. hrn. per year. Scope - the coke plants.
