Zelinska O. Baroque sermon in the context of Ukrainian literary language of XVII century

Object: Ukrainian baroque sermons (of sermon school of I. Galyatovski) of the XVII-th century. Aim: to characterize language peculiarities of baroque sermons, to find out to what extent the language of sermons is based on folk speech sources. Methods: descriptive analytical, comparative, contextual, linguoculturological analysis. Scientific innovation: is the first attempt to define the role of baroque sermons in the process of the Ukrainian literary language formation on the basis of folk speech. Practical value: the results can be applied in lexicography, in teaching such academic courses as History of the Ukrainian Literary Language, Historical Grammar of the Ukrainian Language, Stylistics, an extra course in Historical Lexicology.7452
