Object of investigation: complexing a biologically active compound (BAC) and nucleic acids (NA) in the aqueous solution. Aim of work: establishing the role of various physical factors in stabilizing complexes of BAC with NC in the aqueous environment. Methods of investigation: statistical thermodynamics, nonlinear Poisson-Boltzmann equation, molecular dynamics, quantum chemical methods. Scientific novelty: this thesis presents a systematic implementation of the new strategy of the energy analysis of the reactions of formation of complexes of BAC and NC in aqueous solution based on the decomposition of the total Gibbs energy of complexation reactions into contributions from individual physical factors. Practical meaning: application in molecular biophysics, molecular biology and biotechnology.
