Sitsinska M. Public Administration in Democratic Civilian Control over the Security and Defense Sector of Ukraine

For the first time, the research dissertation implemented a theoretical study of public administration in a democratic civilian control over the security and defense sector of Ukraine and developed scientific and practical guidance to public authorities on ways of developing and improving the effectiveness of functioning of democratic civilian control over the security and defense sector in public administration. The author gave her understanding of the essence of governance in the democratic civilian control over the security and defense sector of Ukraine. It has been proved that the democratization of society was impossible without an effective system of democratic civilian control over the security and defense sector as a combination of public and private institutions and legislation procedures, measures and means to ensure the distribution of powers, duties and responsibilities between the subjects of control.
