Essay

The thesis is devoted to the development of colloid-chemical bases of creation of efficient and environmentally friendly polysaccharide materials for water treatment (flocculants and sorbents), which will ensure the rational use of natural resources, improve the quality of treated water and reduce the impact of anthropogenic pollution on the ecosystem. Were reviewed the molecular mechanisms of the processes occurring in aqueous solutions of carbohydrates. The regularities of the influence of a number of structural features of polysaccharides on flocculation efficiency of water purification have been established. The systematic research of the adsorption of different nature molecules on the polysaccharide sorbents of several structural types was carried out.
