Skomorovskyi V. Creation and liquidation of the USSR: historical and legal research.

The work is devoted to the complex study of the processes of creation and dissolution of the USSR. The current status of the research problems is studied, the original documents and the materials, that are the source base of the study are analyzed. The content and the meaning of the treaties between the Soviet republics before the creation of the USSR is examined, their legal status within the Union state is defined and the processes of constitutional recognition of the Soviet Federation are illustrated. Peculiarities of functioning of the Soviet state mechanism based on the objective and subjective factors are clarified. The factors that led to the termination of the legal existence of the USSR are defined. Legal assessment of the advantages and disadvantages of the existence of the Soviet Union statehood is provided. The influence of the party on the establishment and functioning of the Soviet Federation is traced.
