Perepelitsa O. Sociocultural mediations of the Enlightenment: obscene projection

The object is socio-cultural mediations of Enlightenment. The aim is understanding socio-cultural mediations and mediums Enlightenment definitions, analysis of their obscene projections nature. The methods are topical, conceptualization, deconstruction, parallax-dialectical, methods of analysis and criticism, comparative historical, methodological techniques of the analogies and metaphors. The theoretical results and their novelty. Operating from the standpoint of topical definition of philosophy, the thesis examines sociocultural mediations of the Enlightenment, analyzes the obscene nature of their projections. The text identifies the basic stages of the actualization of the Enlightenment; offers a critical analysis of the defining venues of answering the question "What is Enlightenment?" while establishing the specifics of those venues. The Enlightenment is understood here as a multi-vector (network) project, that is, as a plurality of projections. Accordingly, the thesis identifies the main topoi of the Enlightenment, in which sociocultural practices are localized and internalized; a critical analysis of their mediations is offered. The study aims to establish and conceptualize the mediums of the Enlightenment that facilitate projections of mediations on society and culture. Three such mediums are identified, conceptualized in the text as the medium of language, the medium of money, and the medium of sex. Special analysis is devoted to the obscene dimension of culture and exegesis of obscene projections that enable the transformations of the mediums of the Enlightenment. Philosophical reception of these projections is carried out on the material of the obscene imagery of the libertinage literature and cinematic pornography. The practical value The methodological approach and factual material can be used in the preparation of lectures on philosophy, history of philosophy, philosophy of culture, special courses on the problems of Enlightenment, history, culture and anthropology of sexuality, research eroticism and libertinage. Development tasks in the thesis could help the formation of pluralist setup promote awareness ressentimental manifestations of culture and thus may affect the further liberalization and democratization of Ukrainian society.
