Essay

A complex research on Ukrainian ritual discourse is represented in the dissertation. It is being analysed as a material display of a nation's spiritual culture. A nation's picture of the world is described via language of symbols of Ukrainian calendar and family rituals. Syncretic symbols (objective and verbal symbols, symbols of an action) in a ritual discourse are viewed as a cultural code of a nation in the frames of a linguistic symbology - a scientific vector suggested by the author.
