Osychenko G. Methodological basis for the formation of the urban environment aesthetics

The object of study - the urban environment. The research subject is the methodological basis for the formation of the aesthetics of the urban environment. Research methods: an integrated approach that combines bodily, phenomenological, semiotic and systematic approaches; systematization, comparative analysis, logic modeling, syn-thesis; methods of social psychological research; graphoanalitical method, compositional and morphological analysis. The purpose: to develop a methodological basis for the formation of aesthetics of the urban environment. The scien-tific novelty: First the existing interdisciplinary research paradigms for the study of the aesthetic perspective analyzed and systematized; first the ontological essence of the aesthetic in an urban environment, its scale levels, content and structure determined, well as principles of interaction between the measures and levels of aesthetic; first principles of the aesthetics of the urban environment formulated, the types of aesthetics identify and a system of criteria for humane urban environment is developed. Improved: research methodology of the urban environment aesthetic; algorithm for solution of the formation of the urban environment aesthetics and integrated analysis of the urban environment. Were further developed: the systematization of the urban environment aesthetic qualities, the visual information structure model of the urban environment; the urban environment typology, the classification of the archetypes of the urban en-vironment; systematization of the existing architectural and urban development strategies on the formation and the humanization of the urban environment, as well as determining the structure of the city in terms of aesthetic. The prac-tical significance of the study results is the ability to use its findings for further research of aesthetics of the urban en-vironment; for pre-project analysis; in the experimental design and architecture education; confirmed by introduction of lecture courses and the development of design research and social urban development programs.
