In the thesis the process development of scientific thought on studying the concepts of "trust" and "social capital", the features of the relationship and the expediency of their synthesis; studied historical and ethnic aspects of the phenomenon of trust; substantiates factors in the formation of trust; revealed the impact features national social systems on the existing level of trust in them; revealed patterns of relationship of trust and socio-economic innovation; phenomenon brought close relationship of trust with the phenomenon of conflict; reasonable relationship concepts of "social trust", "generalized trust" and "institutional trust"; a comprehensive analysis of the phenomenon of trust at various levels of sociality.
