Sabadosh R. Diagnostics and complex surgical treatment of varicose veins of the lower limbs and its complications

The study involved 1136 lower limbs with primary varicose veins in 1004 patients. Based on new criteries of perforating veins incompetence, on classification improvement of types of pathological refluxes’ localization, on systematization of types of superficial veins’ dysplasia and of types of hemostasis disorders in case of varicose veins, differentiated tactics of it surgical treatment was worked out, which allowed to avoid perioperative venous thromboembolism and to lower the longterm frequency of recurrences of varicose veins and improve the quality of patient's life. The ligation of thrombosed perforating veins in case of acute varykotromboflebitis as immediate measure reduces the frequency of venous thromboembolism in 6,4 times.
