Onikiienko S. Regulation of the banks' investment activity

The dissertation is devoted to the research of theoretical and methodological foundations of formation and implementation of banks' investment activity regulation under the influence of globalization's processes in the world financial system and structural transformations in the domestic economy. It was studied the genesis of the theory and practice of the banks' investment activity regulation under the conditions of the continuous markets' globalization in the context of the development of theoretical and practical approaches to the understanding of the essence of the financial intermediation's regulation. The enhanced explanation of the concept of the bank investment activity's regulation which expresses the coherence of the interdependent agent problems within the bounds of the integral complex of political, economical and social factors that impact on banks' activity was suggested. It was developed foundations of the formation of comprehensive approach to the regulation of bank investment activity, identified its functionality, organizational principles, role and position in the providing of the financial system's stability and specified trends and features of the banks' investment regulation in Ukraine. The theoretical and practical fundamentals of the portfolio theory's usage in the process of the regulation of banks' credit and investment business at the corporate level for providing the desirable levels of risk, liquidity and profitability at the stage of bank's investment portfolio formation under banks' capital allocation were stated.
