Essay

The thesis advances definition of essential and structural transformations of the concept "professional competence of future music teachers" determined by the demands of informatization of learning. Thorough analysis of the notion "multimedia learning aids in music art" enabled characterization and classification of such learning facilities as electronic study books, textbooks, and books of reference, audition training tools, learning games for children, testing programs. Both structure and content of the system determine interdependence of motivation, cognition, operation, evaluation, and creative projection as its components, which ensures processual unity of acquiring professional competence by future music teachers through multimedia technologies. The criterion apparatus of the experimental part of research enabled diagnostics of the aforementioned components and analysis of their results. Statistical analysis of experimental data and expertise assessment proved efficacy of the implemented system of multimedia technologies in developing the professional competence of the future music teachers.
