Object - professional training of primary school teachers at pedagogical educational establishments of Ukraine during 1919-1991; the aim - to analyse theoretical principles and generalize the practical experience of training future primary school teachers to the organization of pedagogical education of parents during 1919-1991 in order to use the acquired positive experience in the present day process of reforming national system of pedagogical education; methods - general scientific, historical-structural, of historical genesis, historical-diachronic, criteria-based, historical-comparative, problem-oriented, praximetric; novelty - the research is the first to systematize the theory and generalize the practical experience of training future primary school teachers to the organization of pedagogical education of parents during the period under research on the basis of analysis of social-pedagogical, ideological and pedagogical determinants; the theoretical and methodological foundations of the problem of training future primary school teachers to the organization of pedagogical education of parents during 1919-1991 are determined; the resources dealing with the problem of training future primary school teachers to the organization of pedagogical education of parents (1919-1991) are characterized; the stages and leading tendencies in training future primary school teachers to the organization of pedagogical education of parents within the researched period are scientifically substantiated; the archival materials that have not been studied before are offered for scientific analysis (42); the theoretical ideas on organization of pedagogical education of parents in the history and development of foreign and domestic educational systems have acquired further investigation; results - the materials of the dissertation provide a new scientific interpretation of the theory and practice of training future primary school teachers to the organization of pedagogical education of parents during 1919-1991 and set the basis for the reflection and analysis of the processes taking place in the modern educational space. The course "Training teachers to the organization of pedagogical education of parents of primary school pupils" developed by the author of the research has been implemented in the teaching process; field - pedagogy.
