Burij O. Diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy in erosive-ulcerative and neoplastic diseases of stomach and duodenum.

The thesis presents theoretical study and practical solution to a scientific problem, which involves improving the results of surgical treatment of patients with erosive and ulcerative and neoplastic diseases of the stomach and duodenum through the introduction of improved methods for preoperative examination and mini-invasive surgery. The role of research of buccal epithelium, neutrophils in the blood at patients with erosive and ulcerative-neoplastic diseases of the stomach and duodenum in a diagnostic algorithm. Increased accuracy of diagnosis of malignancy of gastric ulcers and polyps through the use of optical biopsy. A medical tactics polyps in the stomach, depending on the anatomical and histological type, thus reducing the frequency of bleeding from 11.1 to 2.4%, reduce postoperative day bed from (5.3 ± 1.1) to (1.5 ± 0.6) days. Introduced the use of modern endoscopic diagnosis and treatment (study of mucos in the narrow spectrum light, endosonography, endoscopic resection and dissection) in patients with early gastric cancer, which increased the effectiveness of treatment of this pathology, contributed to reducing the time patients stay in the clinic from (8.4 ± 1.5) to (2.5 ± 1.4) days. Studied the histology and endoscopic gastric stump characteristic in normal and complications of the postoperative period, developed therapeutic algorithm for complications after operations on the stomach using endoscopic technologies.
