Ruzhenski M. The Transformation of Social Protection Institutions in Transition Economy

The dissertation pioneered in revealing from the standpoint of institutional paradigm theoretical and methodological principles of transformation of institutions of social protection in transition economy. The work defined the content of the category of social protection, detected prerequisites and driving forces of its formation and development, and also social and reproductive functions. The study identified the trends and issues of social protection of the population in conditions of transformation of socio-economic relations in Ukraine. Special emphasis is put on outlining the principles of reforming the social protection institutions. The dissertation provides grounds for sustainable economic development as the strategic platform for building the national model of socially-oriented economy.
