The work sets out to formulate and advance the conception of textbuilding strategies, employing the theoretical framework of structural, text and cognitive linguistics for linguistic interpretation of the notions "narodnichestvo /peopleism", "modernism" and "postmodernism". Narodnichestvo, modernism and postmodernism are analyzed diachronically ? as the stages in the evolution of European linguistic thought from ancient rhetorics and textual baroque to modern applied linguistics as well as synchronically ? as textbuilding strategies in modern Ukrainian language.
