This thesis work presents theoretical generalization and a new solution to problem of creation a holistic concept of the process of formation and development of the Ukrainian landscape science. The theoretical and methodological principles and exploration technology have been developed; periodization of landscape science history of Ukraine has been established. The staged problematic and chronological analysis has been made, including the chronology of the basic events, the principal exploration trends, a conceptual basis, a methodical apparatus, a conceptual and terminological system, the most citable publications, centers and schools of landscape science.
