Essay

The structural and functional organization of the optoelectronic channel of non-imaging optical fiber systems (NIFOS) for minimally invasive clinical medicine (MICM) was proposed and substantiated. For the first time a mathematical model of the optical radiation propagation within the tissues based on the diffuse radiation transfer theory was developed, and new analytical dependences were obtained for it. The fluorescence diagnostic method using the first domestic photosensitizer Hyperflav was improved and clinically confirmed. The quantitative coefficients for evaluating of the NIFOS' effectiveness were proposed, and the raytracing method using specialized software was recommended for their calculation. For the first time the mathematical models of fiber optic instruments for contact and non-contact MICM were developed. The prototypes of the NIFOS for fluorescence diagnosis and photodynamic therapy were designed and technically realized. The system of fluorescence diagnosis of oncologic diseases (TU U 26.6-02070921-001: 2015) was entered into the State Register of medical devices and medical products (Certificate of the State Registration №14778/2015 of 12.06.2015) and was permitted for clinical use on the territory of Ukraine.
