Dissertation is devoted to summarizing the results of studies of molecules and molecular complexes using techniques based on surface plasmon resonance in the novel scientific direction – molecular plasmonics. The theoretical basis and experimental methods for application of two main physical phenomena, used in molecular plasmonics – surface plasmon-polariton resonance and localized surface plasmon resonance – are presented.
