Shkarban V. Justification of surgical management of patients with pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors

In the thesis we determined the features of epidemiology, clinical course and disease patterns of patients with various forms of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. The obtained results allowed to develop diagnostic algorithm. The features of morphological diagnosis were defined. The treatment tactics were developed in the management of patients with pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors using an individualized approach, using mini-invasive and standard surgery approaches. Developed the effectiveness of laparoscopic surgery and organ-sparing procedures. Methods of surgical treatment of locally advanced, metastatic and recurrent forms were implemented. The analysis of early postoperative complications in patients with pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors was performed. The analysis of long-term results of surgical treatment of patients with pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors was performed. The individualized, multidisciplinary diagnostic and treatment approach for the patients with pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors was developed.
