Thesis for academic degree of Doctor of technical sciences, specialty 05.23.08 - Technology and organization of industrial and civil construction.- Odessa State Academy of Construction and Architecture, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Odessa - 2016. Thesis considers the scientific and engineering problem concerning creation of scientific bases and development of device technology for impervious screens with the help of flat working body under existing facilities and their joint application with vertical screens to protect soil and groundwater in case of absence waterproof layer of soil at a depth within reach. Thesis presents the obtained patterns of influence structural and technological factors on the process of formation and characteristics of horizontal impervious screen created under existing facilities with the help of flat working body from a solidifying clay-cement-sand mortar, mathematical model of device of horizontal screen considering received laws and methods of determining structural and technological characteristics of horizontal impervious screen considering stresses and strains that occur in its elements for any overlying soils and facilities. The work shows development prospects of new device technology of horizontal of screens using hardening filler, polymer film and jet grouting technology, construction and technological solutions of complex localization of pollution sources of underground space using horizontal and vertical impervious screens, combined with drainage. The results of these studies were used to develop five building codes and regulations, applied in practical design and construction of impervious structures to protect soil and ground water and in educational process when preparing a lecture course.
