The study presents the results of improvement in prediction of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in combination with arterial hypertension (AH) course complication. The main prognostic factors, which influence on the course of GERD and AH comorbidity were determined and the methods of AH progression and erosive esophagitis development for such group of patients were calculated. In comorbid course of GERD and AH the influence of common pathogenesis features on clinical signs, parameters of 24 - hours blood pressure monitoring (BPM), echocardioscopy, daily esophageal pH - monitoring, morphological changes in esophageal mucosa was defined. Comparison of parameters of the patients groups with isolated GERD, isolated AH and patients with GERD and AH allowed to study the features in clinical course, results of 24 - hours BPM and echocardioscopy, daily esophageal pH monitoring, plasma levels of apelin-12, malondialdehyde, sulfhydryl groups, glutathione peroxidase and metabolites of nitric oxide in the blood and urine during the comorbid course of GERD and AH. The morphological and functional changes in esophageal mucosa, expression of apelin, inducible and endothelial synthase of nitric oxide, CD4, CD8, CD16, CD54, CD95, cyclooxygenase - 2 and the number of mast cells were investigated. The features of the studied parameters depending on the stage of AH and the type of GERD in patients with comorbidity were established.
