Essay

The dissertation is devoted to solving important scientific and technical problem: to evelop recommendations for management of coal oxidation process in the process of reducing blast-furnace coke through increased scientific understanding of the coal xidation processes on various stages of metamorphism and study their behavior during torage, preparation and coking in the laboratory, semi-production and industrial. It is found for the first time', that the coal oxidation process, regardless of its metamorphism degree, granulometric structure and temperature oxidation consists of three main stages: an initial stage, a stage of intensive oxidation and a stage of saturation. The hypothesis that the improving of fat coal coking at its natural oxidation occurs due to the increased viscosity of the oxidized carbon of plastic mass , is formulated and experimentally confirmed. It is discovered that for coals of different metamorphic stages are required different terms of their ultimate storage. The methodological instruction on use of oxidized coal in the production of metallurgical coke that regulate evaluation and acceptable degree of oxidation, the storage time, the mode of its preparation and coking in the production of blast furnace coke are developed.
