Shumilova I. Theoretical and Methodological Bases of General Cultural Competence Forming in Future Teachers of Humanities.

Object - the process of professional training of future teachers of Humanities; the aim - to substantiate the theoretical and methodological bases of the scientific and methodological system of general culture competence forming in future teachers of Humanities and experimentally test its influence on the level of students' professional training; methods - theoretical, empirical, of mathematical statistics; novelty - the research is the first to theoretically substantiate and experimentally test the scientific and methodological system of general culture competence forming in future teachers of Humanities; the teaching support materials allowing for general culture competence forming in future teachers of Humanities has been worked out; the definition of the term "general culture competence of future teacher of Humanities" has been specified; the terms "individual's general culture competence", "pedagogical monitoring of the process of future teachers' general culture competence forming" have been analysed; the genesis of ideas of general culture competence forming in an individual, methods and forms of organization of students' learning-cognitive, local history study- oriented, socio-educational and self-learning activity directed at general culture competence forming in future teachers of Humanities have acquired further study; results - the theoretical ideas and conclusions of the research have provided the basis for determining the teaching recommendations allowing for general culture competence forming in future teachers of Humanities.
