Essay

In the dissertation author studies theoretical principles of formation of engineering-graphic knowledge and skills and elucidates how engineering-graphic training affects formation of professionally important qualities for secondary school teachers of technologies. The concept is substantiated based on the theoretical and methodological analysis which also serves as the ground for developing the structural-functional model of methodical system for teaching engineering-graphics disciplines to the future teachers of technology. Besides, the author has determined pedagogical conditions for effective implementation of the proposed model. The study reasons the structure and content of engineering-graphic preparation of the students and finds effective forms and methods of teaching engineering-graphics disciplines. It researches didactical ability of information technology as a present-day means of teaching engineering-graphics disciplines to future teachers of technology. The author has himself developed educational software device - electronic educational-methodical complex "Graphics". The study defines the criteria, indicators and characterizes the levels of engineering-graphic training of students. The developed methodological system of teaching engineering-graphics disciplines to the future teachers of technology is experimentally verified concerning its efficiency.
