Results of the studies demonstrate that chronic pelvic pain syndrome is a psychosomatic disorder that occurs in constant action of stress factors on the background of unfavorable premorbid state under the influence of certain physiological characteristics of women. It is characterized by impaired synthesis of neurotransmitters, hormones, prostaglandins, vascular growth factors with subsequent appearance endothelial dysfunction, dishormonal disorders and disorders of microcirculation with the development of ischemia and chronic hypoxia that stimulates the re-release of biologically active substances, enhances hormonal imbalance and leads to a vicious circle in the pathogenesis of pain in the lower abdomen with the emergence of functional and structural changes in the women's reproductive system. Thesis are theoretically grounded on concept of formation syndrome of chronic pelvic pain in women of reproductive age in terms of psychosomatic disorders in the pathogenesis of which there are incremental stages of development, reflecting socio-, psycho- and pathogenesis of the pathological condition. Step by step analysis of complaints, the characteristics of pain, anamnesis, results about objective, physical, gynecological status, assessment of psycho-physiological state data and additional research methods made it possible to develop a set of individual diagnostic and therapeutic measures in these patients and qualified as a new direction in solving scientific problems of modern gynecology on reproductive health.
