The dissertation is dedicated to research of pathogenic aspects of premenstrual syndrome by studying characteristics of genetic, hormonal, psychological pathology formation markers and development the differentiated approach for preventive and treatment measures in various forms of the syndrome in order to improve its diagnosis and treatment. The main risk factors for the disease and its structure were determined. The concept of genetic predisposition syndrome based on a complex study of polymorphisms of estrogen receptor gene (ESR1) and progesterone receptor gene (PROGINS), their relationship with levels of female sex hormones, as well as of genes of angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) and glutathione-S-transferase (GSTT1 and GSTM1) was developed. Existing data of hormonal, psychological moments development of pathology based on results of research were complemented. Thus, based on the results complex approach of the study of premenstrual syndrome which includes risk factors, genetic aspects of the disease, hormonal mechanisms, psychological characteristics depending on form of the pathology the differentiated approach to the treatment depending on the clinical form and severity of the syndrome was developed.
