Object - educational interaction of teachers and students in the process of studies of pedagogical disciplines in present day higher education institutions; the aim - to substantiate the didactic bases of educational interaction of teachers and students in the process of studies of pedagogical disciplines and to work out and experimentally test the efficiency of the didactic system of optimization of educational interaction of teachers and students in the process of studies of pedagogical disciplines developed on the basis of the researched theoretical data; methods - theoretical, empirical, of mathematical statistics; novelty - the research is the first to provide the analysis of theoretical principles of educational interaction of teachers and students in the process of studies of pedagogical disciplines; the pedagogical conditions of successful educational interaction of teachers and students in the process of studies of pedagogical disciplines are determined; the definitions of the terms "pedagogical interaction", "educational interaction", "educational interaction of teachers and students in the process of studies of pedagogical disciplines" are specified allowing for deeper understanding of these terms used in Pedagogy as a science; the ideas on the content and structure of interpersonal interaction in the higher education institution teaching process have acquired further study as well as the role of interpersonal interaction for efficient training of students and their learning of pedagogical disciplines; specific aspects of educational interaction by means of electronic means of information exchange; specific aspects of pedagogical disciplines study by those doing Master degree courses; peculiarities of teaching pedagogical disciplines in non-pedagogical higher education institutions to those Master degree students who are preparing for teaching activity after graduating; results - the essence of successful educational interaction of teachers and students in the process of studies of pedagogical disciplines and essential for pedagogical monitoring students' dynamic characteristics as the subjects of educational interaction have been determined; the criteria and diagnostic apparatus allowing for the check of the efficiency of the developed didactic system of optimization of educational interaction of teachers and students in the process of studies of pedagogical disciplines have been worked out. The materials of the monograph, of teaching and methodological manuals will be helpful in the system of continuous professional pedagogical development: for teaching pedagogical disciplines, for working out electronic versions of teaching courses, for preparing seminars based on the credit and module system of teaching process organization; for organization of distant education courses, for carrying out the diagnostics of students, school teachers, academics and their self-diagnostics directed at raising their level of general pedagogical and didactic training; field - pedagogy.
