Essay

This dissertation presents a new approach to the study of Buddhist philosophy, according to which the foundations of Buddhism in all its historical periods and branches are formed by a philosophical basis common for all of them – “the philosophy of emptiness”. The work explores the essence and genesis of the ideas of emptiness, elucidates their embodiment in concrete historico-philosophical context and gives examples of efficiency of the elaborated approach for the solution of a range of philosophical problems.
