Goykhman M. Diagnosis of Problematic Situations and State Regulation of Banking Sector in Ukraine

The thesis clarified the theoretical principles regulating the state banking sector and defining its basic principles. The essential understanding and problem situations' impact on the functioning of the banking sector and content regulation have been determined. The necessity of structuring the process to diagnose problem situations in the banking sector in order to select the appropriate tools of the state regulation has been proved. The balanced system of analytical evaluation performance of the banking sector on the basis of a systematic approach has been formed, taking into account their individual characteristics, the nature of existence and the integral index of state regulation of the banking sector. The methodical approach to the evaluation of the functioning of the banking sector, indicatively using the geometric method and optimization mathematical model of linear programming has been worked out. The current state of state regulation and its impact on the effectiveness of the functioning of the domestic banking sector have been analyzed. Functional relationships set of macroeconomic indicators and state regulation of the banking sector of Ukraine have been reviewed. The scientific and methodological approaches to assess the impact of relevant classes or clusters performance on the formation of integrated performance of the banking sector have been worked out. Methodical approaches to the diagnosis of problematic situations in the banking sector have been offered. A formalized model of banking based on avoiding problematic situations in its functioning has been developed.
