According to the results of generalization of world experience and own theoretical and experimental studies the accute scientific and practical problem of creating preconditions for reducing pollution and adversely affect the safety of human life consequences of critical (emergency) situations at the time of and disposal of fires through the development of scientific bases of development and implementation of environmentally sound fire extinguishing agents and their use of technology was solved. By environmentally friendly fire extinguishing agents it is suggested to include such substances or homogeneous mixtures, which in its physical and chemical properties are suitable for use in technical means to stop burning process, and the degree of effects on the body are considered moderately dangerous or little dangerous, and when interacting with flame 'pits or thermal decomposition do not form harmful substances in concentrations dangerous for living beings and the environment. Environmentally acceptable technology of use of fire extinguishing agents is proprosed to supply them with technical means to achieve the eradication of fires in which air, soil and waters not accumulate harmful substances in concentrations dangerous for living beings and the environment. The results of dissertation research is the scientific basis for reducing harmful effects on the environment and human activity of hazards of fires by implementing in production and use in the practice of fire protection of different objects and fire extinguishment of developed environmentally friendly materials and technologies for their application.
