Vitrenko A. Service sphere development in the conditions of postindustrial transformations.

The thesis analyzes the theoretical and methodological research basis of service sphere. The evolution of scientific understanding of the nature, role and importance of services in the modern economy was investigated. The basic stages of formation and development of the service economy in the process of transformation of human society to a postindustrial type were studied. The modern trends of scientific approaches to the research of the service sector, which resulted in strengthening interdisciplinary research service, were considered. Basic scientific approaches to clarify the content of the economic category "service" were systematized and it's caused formulation of the original author's determination on the basis of theoretical and methodological innovations which are representative to the period of global changes. Author investigated the main characteristic features of services as a socio-economic phenomenon, it helped him to update them based on the author's approach and taking into account the impact of post-industrial transformation. The basic criteria for services structuring and typology were described and proposed the scientific taxonomy of services, considering trends of the post-industrial changes in human society.
