Ortynska N. Legal status of minors: theoretical and legal research

The author has carried out a comprehensive theoretical and legal analysis of the composition of the legal status of a minor and has motivated the importance of such components as rights and obligations - the basic elements of the legal status; secured elements that create preconditions for the full realization of these rights and obligations: citizenship; legal personality; principles of legal status; additional elements: guarantees of the rights of minors; responsibility of a minor for an offense. The normative and legal necessity of distinguishing between such concepts as "children" and "minors" by referring to the latter children of the age limit from fourteen years old to the age of majority is substantiated and the necessity of a special legal approach to this age category, due to its physical and intellectual formation and the stage of preparation for adulthood is proved. The general characteristics of certain types of rights of minors. The paper contains a comprehensive analysis of the responsibility in the system of the legal status of minors. The main legal problems of the impact of globalization on the legal status of minors in Ukraine are elucidated. The importance of legal socialization of minors in Ukraine is outlined by analyzing the innovative needs of legal socialization of minors in our state and defining the role of its agents in formation of the personality of a minor as well as directions of improving the legal policy of the state concerning the legal status of minors.
