Essay

The relative refractive index and the coefficient of interlevel absorption of light which is caused by transitions of an impurity electron from the ground to the first excited state depending on the frequency of an incident photon was defined. The theory of an electron energy spectrum of the quantum dot with two charged donor ions at different distances to the QD center was developed. A consistent theory of the energy spectrum and wave functions of an exciton in two tunnel-connected cylindrical QDs for the CdS/? - HgS structure was proposed.
