Essay

The morphological category of the person was described as a grammatical core of personality. The implementation of the categorical semantics of personality at the morphological level depends on the lexical meaning of words and their specialization in the sentence; therefore, it differs in the central parts of the language ? the noun and the verb. From the formal point of view, the center of the 33 morphological embodiment of the semantics of personality is the person of the verb. The person of the noun is the semantic center. Functional specificity of personality in the sentence is manifested through several interconnected planes: referential semantic and semantic-pragmatic. Belonging to a certain person is a mandatory characteristic of the substantive components of the sentence: the subject, the object and the recipient. Hierarchically the highest is the personal status of the subject. At the sentence level, specific variants of categorical meanings of personality, in particular, undesignatedpersonal, generalized-personal, undesignated-subject, characterizing sentences as units of the language system, are implemented. The most generalized-personal meaning is represented in sentences with the Ти-subject, but its nuances are also implemented with sentences of the subjects of the first and third persons. Actually undesignated-personal semantics is represented in Ukrainian in the constructions of three types: 1) sentences in which the corresponding status of the subject is realized through the grammatical meanings of the third person of the plural; 2) sentences in which the predicate is deprived of grammatical indicators of a person; 3) sentences in which the predicate in the form of a third person singular, which is typical for the representation of actions of subject objects, and it expresses the action of an unknown person.
