The author carried out a comprehensive comparative political study research of the problems of minority governments in the European parliamentary democracies. She described the main theoretical and methodological peculiarities and preconditions for comparative analysis of minority governments in the European parliamentary democracies. The researcher outlined the types, theoretical and empirical principles, causes, conditions, models, as well as ways of formation and accountability of minority governments in the European parliamentary democracies. She established constitutional and legal, institutional and political, party and electoral, ideological, power-opposition, executive-legislative and intra-governmental attributes of the formation, functioning and responsibility of minority governments in the European parliamentary democracies. The study evaluates the patterns of stability, effectiveness and consequences of minority governments in the European parliamentary democracies.
